For the week of May 21

Close contact with our growers about current weather and growing conditions allows us to give weekly updates to keep you informed. We offer current quality and market updates for each category of produce all in one place. Here are some products to buy with caution this week.

Supplies are coming from Texas and Mexico. The quality has been very good but due to the demand as the Memorial Day weekend gets closer, we will see markets rise a bit this week.
The Central Valley crop is winding down and the Ventura crop is now in full swing, however the demand exceeds the supplies on the small sized lemons (140’s – 200’s). Look for very active markets to continue through the summer as the demand increases.
Supplies are very light in Oxnard, as the crop is behind where growers want it to be. Prices are very high and we can expect the prices to remain high for the next 2-4 weeks.
