Fruit Report
California has seen some warmer weather which is boosting strawberry production. Berries are full red color, but expect some bruising and softness. Driscoll raspberries are starting to improve in California and quality has been good. Domestic blueberries are getting very tight and prices are on the rise. We will be shipping 6oz containers now. Blackberry prices are steady to higher with limited supplies from the northeast. Quality and flavor are good. Westside cantaloupe prices are steady and quality has been very nice. Honeydew supplies
remain good on the larger sized melons. We are shipping
Colorado peaches. Washington Bartlett pears are in stock. Get them a few days early so they will ripen up for you! Red Flame grapes are winding down. Our next variety will be Crimsons-in about a week. Green grapes are holding steady. Fresh apricots and bing cherries are done for the season.
Veg News
No changes for the most part on leafy items. Romaine is still showing some fringe burn. Head lettuce case weights are down a little this week. Green and red leaf lettuce are looking very nice. Asparagus is
continuing to trend downward in price. Quality has been nice on product coming from Mexico and Peru. Jumbo asparagus continues to be higher priced. Broccoli and cauliflower will be higher priced due to a planting gap. This will not affect quality of either product which has been excellent. Tomatoes are holding steady. Romas are a little higher along with grape and cherry tomatoes due to lighter supplies.

CITRUS LEAF QUARANTINE
Many of you have questions regarding the citrus leaf
quarantine affecting our ability to ship Keiffer Lime Leaves and Curry Leaves. The USD quarantine that went into
effect last month is due to the Asian Citrus Psyllid pest that carries the bacteria HLB, also known as citrus
greening disease, now a very serious threat to the US
citrus industry due to the fact that infected trees die with no cure. Because of this quarantine we are not allowed to ship citrus leaf products outside of LA County.
As soon as the quarantine is lifted we will make an
announcement. Until then, we apologize for the
inconvenience and thank you for your patience and
support in this matter.
